Key Contributions:
• The Special Project Engineer under the Network Engineering and Operations Build (NEOBD) will conduct an actual site survey and prepares a detailed layout plan for Government projects and Non-Government projects related to any alteration to the existing Network facilities. • Supervise and monitors the implementation of all special projects which include Fiber Optic Cable rerouting (aerial and underground installation), MERALCO pole clearing/cable cutting operations, and pole relocations. • Overall function would also include updating of PT&T Access Network Map.
On a Typical Workday, You Will:
• Project Management: - Prepares details on the activity and secures approval for implementation. - Prepares design and cost including time plan and cost management. - Supervises and ensures that a project runs smoothly and that the structure is completed on time and within budget. - Supervises the multiple subcontractor’s implementation and delivery of the project - Performs and affixes signature to Certificate of Completion & Acceptance. • Technical & Operational Tasks - Conducts technical and feasibility studies. - Supervises and conducts site surveys for cable and wireless facilities, developing detailed & layout plans, and thinking creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems. - Supervises and conducts surveys for all poles for relocation or extraction, affected by governments road widening, and fiber optic cables that are sagging/defective or damaged as requested by National & Local Government Units including private organizations. - Supervises cutover or migration activities including coordination with corresponding internal departments. • Communication and Coordination - Attending meetings with coordination of SME, Local Government, and clients, communicating, and liaising effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, consultants, coworkers, and clients, and coordinating and acquiring permits from various government agencies and private organizations. - Coordination and Acquisition of permits from LGUs (city / municipal halls, barangays, Sangguinang Panglungsod Resolution), HOAs, MACEA, MAPA, BGCEA, CPIP, CFEI, FSI, OP, ECC, CPIP, etc., RTAs for the attachment of FOC to the poles of MERALCO, BATELEC, FLECO, and other future pole lessors. - Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, consultants, co- workers, and clients.
What Will Make You a Fit for this Role:
• Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or any other related courses. • Relevant and strong exposure to Telecommunication Industry with minimum or at least 1 year of extensive experience on major projects. • Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply. At least with on-the job training experience in ISP or telecommunications industry. • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet set deadlines. • Excellent presentation, verbal and written English communication skills. • Must have Vendor Management Skills handling at least 6 different subcontractors.
