16 Jun PT&T Announces the Retirement of EVP and COO Ricky Peña
PT&T Corp. (PSE:PTT) (“PT&T” or the “Company”) announces the retirement of Mr. Patrick Vincent “Ricky” G. Peña from his posts as Executive Vice President – Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Compliance Officer, effective June 13, 2025.
A respected figure in the Philippine telecommunications industry, Mr. Peña leaves behind a legacy of visionary leadership and strategic transformation. Since joining PT&T in 2018 as General Manager for Fixed Broadband, he has been instrumental in the turnaround and expansion of the Company’s connectivity business. Under his direction, PT&T delivered a compounded annual revenue growth of 20% over four years, despite industry and market headwinds.
In February 2023, he was appointed Senior Vice President – Corporate Affairs Group Head. In this capacity, he spearheaded investor relations, fundraising activities, strategic partnerships, and governance initiatives. He played a key role in PT&T’s capital-raising efforts for national expansion and contributed to the Company’s preparation for its exit from rehabilitation and planned trading resumption on the Philippine Stock Exchange.
In August 2024, Mr. Peña assumed the roles of Executive Vice President – Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Compliance Officer, where he championed operational excellence and customer-centric innovation. His tenure focused on process enhancements, system modernization, and strengthening organizational efficiency to support PT&T’s long-term strategy.
Mr. Peña’s nearly three-decade career also includes senior leadership roles at Smart Communications, Meridian Telekoms, Sun Cellular, and Voyager Innovations. He helped pioneer wireless broadband in the Philippines and propelled the growth of postpaid and broadband services.
PT&T extends its deepest gratitude to Mr. Peña for his steadfast leadership. His contributions have laid a strong foundation for the Company’s continued growth and evolution.
