Key Contributions:
- You will be responsible for leading and managing the Information Technology Operations team. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of IT services, incident management, and service delivery. You will collaborate with various IT teams and stakeholders to maintain high service levels and implement IT best practices.
- This role also aims to direct technological operations through understanding and analyzing organizational requirements, practices and goals.
On a Typical Day, You Will:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and supervise the IT Operations team, providing direction, guidance, and support.
- Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training needs for team
members.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
- Effectively communicate with team members, providing clear instructions and objectives.
- Service Delivery and Incident Management:
- Oversee the IT service delivery process, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Monitor service performance and take corrective actions to maintain service levels and meet SLAs.
- Coordinate with other IT teams and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
- Implement ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management practices.
- Service Improvement and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and optimization of IT processes.
- Propose and implement changes to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis of major incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to IT service processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Prepare regular reports on service performance, incident metrics, and service improvement initiatives.
What Makes You a Fit for this Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an IT service operations environment, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Strong understanding of incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
- Familiarity with IT service monitoring and performance management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
